Magaya Corporation’s donation of its logistics software was recognized at University of North Florida’s Donor Recognition ceremony on February 16, 2012 at the UNF campus in Jacksonville, Florida.
The Donor Recognition ceremony is presented by the UNF Founders Society annually to recognize donors and their contributions to the university.
Magaya Corporation donated its logistics software, the Magaya Supply Chain Solution, to the UNF’s Transportation & Logistics Flagship Program (T&L) in the Coggin College of Business in August of 2011. The software is being used by students in the Warehouse Management class, and Magaya is working on creating internship opportunities for UNF students.
Magaya President Jesus David Rodriguez, attended the ceremony. “We are proud to partner with the university in helping train the next generation of supply chain and logistics professionals,” said Mr. Rodriguez.
Speakers included UNF’s president, John Delany; the vice president of Institutional Advancement, Pierre Allaire, and others. President Delaney praised the role donors have played since UNF first opened its doors in 1972. “We’re proud that individuals and companies continue to see UNF as a great investment, an investment in the future of our community. Private support is the key to many of UNF’s ambitious goals.”
