Our most innovative product, the Magaya Network,
was awarded the 2005 IT Leadership Award in Florida. It provides the infrastructure
for business-to-business communications between logistics companies such as origin
and destination agents and business-to-consumer communications such as logistics
companies and their customers.
This communication infrastructure is automatically installed and configured when you
install any Magaya Product, allowing you to start communicating with other logistics companies
and provide real-time Internet tracking for your customers instantly. There is no need to
configure complex servers or networks; simply install the software and the Magaya Network takes
care of the rest.
The Magaya Community is one of the coolest features implemented within the Magaya
Network. The Magaya Community is a directory of companies using Magaya software. For example, if you
are a company in Asia and you are looking for a business partner in the United States to handle your
export shipments, you can search within the Magaya Community for a company in the United States or a
particular city of choice. From the search results, you can view each company’s profile from the results
page. Once you have selected the appropriate business for your needs, you can send them an invitation
message from the Magaya Community and begin communicating with them immediately.
Another example of data communication using the Magaya Network is the communication between logistics
companies at origin and destination sites. For example, a freight forwarder receives cargo, prepares a
consolidation and all the related international trade documentation. Next, the forwarder sends the entire
consolidation electronically to the agent at destination who also has the Magaya Cargo System, which is
available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
The agent at destination receives the information electronically, and views and prints all original
documentation prior to the cargo arriving. Once the cargo physically arrives, the agent can run a simple
reception process that will generate on-hand warehouse receipts for all the cargo arriving, and the system
at destination will electronically send a message back to the system at origin, automatically updating the
cargo status to “At Destination”.
