Online Bookings
Magaya Corporation has implemented a feature that allows Magaya customers using the Magaya Cargo System or the Magaya Supply Chain Solution to receive online booking requests from their clients.
This feature could save a lot of time an avoid unnecessary errors, even more considering that it can be setup to process booking requests automatically, allowing the client to know immediately that his/her request is possible.
Here is how it works:

The Magaya system user creates a trip schedule (could be Air, Ocean or Ground) and enters the estimated departure and arrival dates as well as the departure and arrival ports. The user can also specify a maximum capacity for this trip in terms of pieces, weight and volume or he/she can enter the amount of equipments that are available to be booked in the trip.

The Magaya system user assigns "Online Booking Requests" permission to the clients (tracking users) that will have access to submit online booking requests.

The tracking user will login to the Magaya LiveTrack using his/her credentials, and from there will create a new booking request. The user will enter the mode of transportation, the estimated departure and arrival dates and the departure and arrival ports and the system will return the available trip schedules matching the specified criteria. The user will select the desired trip and will enter the amount of equipments needed or the loose cargo details.

After the booking request information has been entered, the user will submit it and the Magaya system will validate if there is enough capacity in the selected trip and will return with a confirmation message and a booking number if the request was accepted.
There are different options that can be changed to control the way the system handles the booking requests as well as the way the user enters the necessary information when posting a new request.
