Seaboard Marine Successfully Implements Magaya Supply Chain for Warehouse Management
Miami, FL – April 13, 2021 – Magaya Corporation, the leading provider of end-to-end logistics and supply chain automation software, is proud to announce that Seaboard Marine has selected and implemented Magaya Supply Chain, Dimensioner, and Binder to support its business modernization strategy.
Seaboard Marine is a trade leader in the Western Hemisphere with nearly 40 years of ocean transportation experience. Amongst a wide spectrum of services, Seaboard Marine provides ocean transportation for less-than-container load cargo through its warehouse facility in Miami, Florida. The organization was previously using a different WMS system but was looking to eliminate data silos and modernize its software platform by undertaking a digital transformation with Magaya. An important factor in choosing Magaya was its single platform that would act as the record system for its warehouse operations, providing one data source for warehouse inventory and data.
“It’s exciting to be working with the Seaboard Marine team right here in Miami,” said Gary Nemmers, Chief Executive Officer at Magaya. “The Magaya platform is a great fit in supporting warehouse process optimization by saving significant time on repetitive, manual tasks. This will give Seaboard Marine the return on investment needed to continue its growth for many years to come while, more importantly, better serving its customers.”
The Seaboard Marine warehouse workflow involves receiving, weighing, and dimensioning palletized and parcel cargo, a lengthy process when performed manually. Magaya Dimensioner has significantly reduced the time required to perform measurements by automatically capturing cargo, pallet, and parcel dimensions, leading to a measurable improvement in warehouse productivity and efficiency. Another key process Seaboard Marine has automated and digitized is the photographing of cargo and tracking numbers for parcel cargo with Binder by Magaya.
“The Magaya implementation has been going exceptionally well,” said Daniel O’Neil, Director of LCL Services at Seaboard Marine. “Our LCL customers have been pleased that we are now able to give such detailed, complete invoices and inventory so quickly. Customers, in all of our markets, value the visibility that we now promptly provide.”
